Seeing people happy brings me such indescribable joy.I was thinking that lately I've felt like everyone around me was happier and more content and that was making me bitter and negative. I didn't like this realization very much, I felt selfish and that I wasn't behaving like a good friend should.
I reminded myself that I have to find ways to be constantly appreciative of what I have because I have so many great things in my life. After my mom picked me up from school toda, she drove me to a pizza place and we had pizza with my dad and talked about shootings and school and everything in general. Then I drove home and my mom and I talked about yoga and how excited she was for certain things and I love hearing her happy and excited. I think it is brilliant. Once we got home we talked about kids I used to know and had a 30 minute conversation about what I actually want to do with my life and what I'm passionate about and how I'm going to make it happen. It was so comforting to speak with my mom and have her tell me that I can achieve whatever I want and that I could make a difference in the world. I love her so much. I love my friends. They do so much for me. I love Tali and how much happier she is now and her boy talk and how she gets babyish when she is excited and our car rides when we blast Shawn Mendes. I appreciate you Tali, every single day. I love Maggie and how brilliant, forgiving, dedicated, and attentive she is. I appreciate you Maggie and all that you do for me. I appreciate you Katie for always being this little light in my life and always being someone I can be happy with and who doesn't take life too seriously. I appreciate you Haley Kish, and how you can always match my energy and always know how I'm feeling and how to make my day a little more interesting. There is too many people to name but sometimes if you take a step back and look at your life, it's kind of alright. It's kind of pretty good actually. By: Jayden Stabler - 10th grade
